Holly A. McCoy

Holly A. McCoy

Biography
Dr. Holly A. McCoy is a lifelong resident of North Texas and a graduate of Plano Senior High School.

Education
Dr. McCoy has a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio (2001) and a Master of Science degree in Genetics from Texas A&M University (1997). She completed residency at the Baylor Family Medicine Residency Program at Garland (2004).

Experience
Dr. McCoy has practiced medicine for two decades, including Medical Director roles at CareNow-Lewisville and CareNow-North Dallas. She enjoys using her skills to help her New Promise Neuropathy patients feel better and have a better quality of life.

Biography
Dr. Roberts, originally from Tyler, Texas, achieved her bachelor’s degree in biology at Austin College in 1995, subsequently obtaining her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Specializing in Family Medicine, Dr. Roberts completed her residency at Baylor Garland and her professional path began in 2002 as she practiced in various North Texas cities such as Carrollton, Plano, and Dallas, where she immersed herself in patient care and community involvement.

Her desire to enhance patient lives and focus on individual needs prompted a transition from her role as Medical Director at Care Now's Plano clinic to establishing her own direct primary care practice. This move allowed her to dedicate more time to preventative health and integrative care, further deepening her engagement with patient wellbeing. This passion eventually led Dr. Roberts to join the New Promise Neuropathy team in 2019, where she finds fulfillment in witnessing and contributing to patients’ progress in managing neuropathy and enhancing their overall quality of life. Her career reflects a steadfast dedication to medical practice, patient care, and the continuous pursuit of enhancing the wellbeing of those she serves.

Dr. Roberts attended Austin College where she graduated magna cum laude with a concentration in Biology in 1995.

Her interest in helping others led her to medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. While in medical school she was impressed by many of the Family Medicine physicians that mentored her and was inspired to specialize in Family Medicine. After graduating medical school in 1999 she started her residency in Family Medicine at Baylor Medical Center in Garland, TX.

Randall Hays, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Hays is the Chief Medical Officer at New Promise Neuropathy. Prior to serving in this capacity, he served as the Medical Director of our Frisco location for over four years.

Biography
His formal training is in Family Medicine, but with an emphasis in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Early in his career, he worked as a staff physician in an Emergency Department. Since then, he has been the Medical Director with several urgent care centers, including CareNow, as well as other hospital-based urgent care clinics.

Education
Dr. Hays received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeast Louisiana University and his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and remains in good standing with the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Board of Family Medicine.

Experience
Dr. Hays joined the New Promise Neuropathy team in October, 2018. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Hays is committed to his family and faith. He is happily married to his wife, Karla, and together they have two children and two young grandchildren. He has been an active member of his church and has served as a worship leader in various venues and capacities across the country. He enjoys traveling and loves spending time with his grandchildren.

Chief Executive Officer

Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of New Promise Neuropathy

Biography
Dr. Alavi possesses extensive medical experience in General Primary Care, Cardiology, Hospital Medicine, including ICU and Critical Care, and Hospice and Palliative Care. He now focuses on treating Peripheral Neuropathy and holds the positions of Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer at New Promise Neuropathy. In this capacity, he utilizes The Combined Electro-Analgesia Treatment among other non-invasive therapeutic modalities to manage this challenging condition.

Education
Dr. Alavi obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and Chemistry from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and holds postgraduate degrees in Microbiology and Virology.

He continued his education at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California, followed by a Cardiology Track-Internal Medicine residency at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.

Experience
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Alavi participates in clinical trials focusing on Peripheral Neuropathy and serves as an advisor to diverse research, educational, and charitable institutions. He advocates for Evidence-Based Medicine and a holistic, patient-centered approach to care, underlining his deep commitment to his patients.

Outside his professional commitments, Dr. Alavi engages in travel, reading, and humanitarian projects, working alongside organizations, churches, and charitable foundations to support those in need.
